    Using the bow thruster The Side Power electric bow thruster is designed for intermittent use. Viking Sport Cruisers recommend 20 seconds maximum of continuous use. More than this and the motor will rapidly heat up and the fuse may blow. In practical use, with twin propellers at the bow, 20 seconds is more than you need.
