Advanced Mode offers full manual control for users that have an in-depth knowledge of battery types (chemistry) and battery charging techniques. Advanced Mode also allows you to adjust the charge rate (current) for Traxxas iD batteries. If you fail to plug in the balance connector, or attempt to charge a LiPo battery with a damaged or missing balance connector, you create the risk of accidentally selecting to charge a LiPo battery in NiMH mode resulting in fire and possible injury to yourself and others.
