Heat sink and fan assembly

Prerequisite
Before you start, read Appendix A "Important safety information" on page 57and print the following
instructions.
The heat sink might be very hot. Before you open the computer cover, turn off the computer and wait several
minutes until the computer is cool.
Replacement procedure
1. Remove the power cord. See "Power cord" on page 24
2. Remove the right computer cover. See "Right computer cover" on page 27.
3. Remove the front bezel. See "Front bezel" on page 29.
4. Remove the screws to remove the heat sink.
5. Install the heat sink and secure it with screws.
6. Reinstall all removed parts.
