Before removing the pen holder, follow these steps:
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the

Remove the pen holder:
Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw (1) that secures the pen eject assembly to the base enclosure.

Remove the pen eject assembly (2).

Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (3) that secure the pen holder to the base enclosure.
