For Models MDG31,51,77 LINT BOX/BLOWER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL: Unplug the motor harness. For MDG31, remove two screws above the lint UPPER FRONT PANEL REMOVAL: drawer. For MDG 51,77, also remove two screws Remove the four screws located just above the top beneath the gasket on the left and right side of the loading door. -

GAS VALVE/IGNITION SYSTEM COMPONENTS: TUMBLER SUPPORT WHEEL ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT: For Models MDG31,51,77 The front wheel assemblies can be replaced with the lower front panel removed. Remove the three IGNITOR bolts by reaching upward with a socket or box wrench. The illustration below is provided to show the location of these wheels as the wheels cannot easily be seen while standing in front of the dryer. -

A large screwdriver can provide the necessary leverage. Adjustment of the front of the tumbler is made by equalizing the gap on the top, bottom, left and right by moving the wheel assemblies. 450274-4 Maytag Co. -
