Something Wrong with your Cooker?

Before contacting your nearest Service Centre/Installer, check the problem guide below; there may be
nothing wrong with your cooker.
Problem Check
Steam /
Steam is a by - product of cooking any food with a high water contact. To help minimise

c) Open the door immediately after the baking process. Try to avoid leaving food in the

Condensation on Steam and / or condensation may appear from the vent at the rear of the appliance when
the wall at the rear using an oven particularly for foods with a high water content e.g. frozen chips, roast
of the cooker. chicken etc. This is normal, and any excess should be wiped off.
Main Oven Fan
This is normal. To help save energy, the fan switches off at regular intervals during the cooking
keeps turning on
cycle. This does not affect cooking time or results.

If you find that the timer display is blank, then it is likely that there is no electricity sup ply to
your oven. C heck:

(ii) Other app liances, to see if you have had a pow er cut
(iii) The main circuit b reaker for the p rop erty
A gentle flow of air will be blown from beneath the control panel when the appliance is

used. If the appliance is st ill warm, this cooling fan may run on, or restart itself when all
beneath control
controls have been turned off. The fan w ill stop once the appliance has been cooled. This
panel
is normal and not a fault.
Operating the cooker under the follow ing cond itions may cause a safety device to op erate:
Top Oven and Grill (a) Grilling w ith the door closed - A lw ays g rill w ith the d oor fully open
d o not w ork... Main (b) Grilling for an excessively long period at maximum setting - see Grilling guid e.
oven w orks S w itch off ap pliance and allow to cool for ap prox 30 mins.
S w itch the cooker back on and check that the Grill / Top oven is now op erating.
Grill keeps turning When the Grill control is operating at less than its maximum setting, the Grill w ill cycle on
on and off and off, this is normal and not a fault.
The p ow er sup ply to your oven has p ossibly b een interrup ted , but has now come back on
Timer is show ing
again. R eset the timer to the correct time of day using the instructions given in the timer
'0.00'
section of the b ook. After this operation it is possible to activate the oven.

continually - press the minute mind er button once.

your taste.

C heck that anti-rattle b ungs have been re-fitted after cleaning , and that they been fitted

The oven lamp is not covered by the guarantee. The part is easily changed (see the section

on oven lamp replacement). A new lamp may be obtained from our Parts department see
