After operating the machine
•
After switching off the machine wait until the
saw chain comes to a complete stop: it will continue
running mechanically for a while. Do not make any
attempt to stop the chain on your own.

Store the machine after operation only with the
cutting unit covered.
Mounting and adjustment
Prior to any maintenance procedures
the machine must be switched off.
Wear protective gloves while handling
the saw chain.

Installing the saw chain
•
Lay the machine onto the flat ground.
•
Unscrew the nuts (19) with the help of the multi-
purpose wrench (18).

Move the chain brake initiator (4) to the utmost
forward position and remove the casing (20).
•
Mount the saw chain (1) on the guide bar (2),
paying attention to the direction of the saw chain
teeth.
•
Tighten the saw chain (1) so that the loop can be
formed on the rear side of the guide bar (2).
•
Match the complete cutting unit with the main
unit of the machine and reeve the saw chain (1) in
the driving gear (22).
•
Mount the guide bar (2) onto the main unit of
the machine so that the positioning pins (23) fit into
the slot (21).
•
Replace the casing (20).

Screw the nuts (19) with the help of the multi-

purpose wrench (18) and tighten them without
applying the excessive force, in order not to damage
the threaded joint.
•
Check the proper matching of the saw chain
links (1) with the groove of the guide bar (2), and
tighten the chain.
Checking and adjusting the chain tension
Prior to each use of the machine, as well

as after every 10 minutes of operation it
is necessary to perform a check, and if
necessary, to adjust the tension of the
chain (1).
After mounting the new saw chain, the increased
extension must be taken into consideration on the
early stage of operation.
