FORWARD-FACING

belt must be routed through
opening in child restraint for
(see page 29, fig. e).
Belt must lay flat and not be twisted.

Adjust car seat to upright position (see fig. a
and page 25, fig. g). Secure recline
stand into Upright Position by pushing tabs
into lock position.
Place
forward-facing
with
LATCH
anchors.

For ease of installation, extend
to its maximum length.

Hook connectors to vehicle lower anchors
(fig. b). Pull connectors to be sure they are
securely attached (fig. c).

Slide child restraint back until the child restraint
is in contact with the vehicle seat back.

Press down firmly in center of child restraint to
compress vehicle seat cushion while tightening
LATCH
belt by pulling adjustment belt.
Use your knee to press down in center of
child restraint (fig. d).

Pull front to back and left to right at belt path
to check for secure installation (fig. e). The
child restraint should not move side to side or
forward more than 1 inch (2.5 cm).
Check that the lower anchorage belt stays
tight and does not slip from the tightened
position. If it does not stay tight, try another
seating position or contact Customer Service.

Attach tether strap hook (A) to anchor
hardware (B) and tighten adjustment belt to
remove any slack (fig. f).
Belt must lay flat and not be twisted.
Perform this test every time you drive with your
child.
