    Getting Started Installing the USIM card and battery 1. Installing the USIM card. Your USIM card contains your phone number, service details and contacts and must be inserted into your handset. If your USIM card is removed then your handset becomes unusable (except for emergency calls) until a valid one is inserted.

    Getting Started Charging the Battery Before connecting the travel adapter to the phone you must first install the battery. With the arrow facing you as shown in the diagram push the plug on the battery adapter into the socket on the right side of the phone until it clicks into place.
