2.1.2 Self test

Whenever the BVDR is turned on, it performs a verification test of its internal
functionalities. In the case of a successful test, an approved internal test
message will be displayed on the screen, followed by the BVDR version.

2.2 Main screen

2.2.1 Description

The screen as above indicates all key information from the BVDR.
(1) Current vehicle speed. At certain speeds the speed indication will blink for 5
seconds, which is a normal feature of the product;
(2) Date programmed in digital tachograph as DD/MM/YY;
(3) Local time as HH:MM;
(4) Total odometer of vehicle;
(5) Driver code - Linked driver.

Attention
In case of failed internal test, the vehicle's driver must as soon
as possible drive the vehicle to an authorized VDO station for
evaluation and fault correction. In case of verification by the
competent authority and with this failure, the vehicle can be
seized and the driver fined.
