C-cover removal process differs between the metal type and the fabric type C-covers. Be sure to follow
the proper procedure based on the device model and associated C-cover type.

Preliminary Requirements

Isopropyl Alcohol Dispenser (use only 70% IPA)

5IP (Torx plus) driver
Anti-static wrist strap (1M Ohm resistance)

Recommended: ESD-safe battery cover (13.5" or 15")

C-cover (If replacing refer to Illustrated Service Parts List)
(New 5IP screw quantity= 4 supplied with component)
Prerequisite Steps:

Power off device – Ensure device is powered off and disconnected from a power supply.
