OPERATION WITH BLADES
Preparing the Trimmer/Brush Cutter for Blade Use
Blade use DEMANDS specific Trimmer/Brush Cutter configuration. Operation without specified shield and harness
can result in serious personal injury.
Plastic and Nylon Blades Require:
Installation of the metal shield [A] and use of a shoulder
harness[B].
Steel/Metal Blades Require:
Installation of the metal shield (A), use of a shoulder
harness (B), PLUS installation of a "U-Handle Kit." (C).
(Model SRM-311U units include theU-Handle parts
required for steel blade operation.)
Choosing the Correct Blade
The type of Blade used MUST be matched to the type and size of material cut. An improper or dull blade can
cause serious personal injury. Blades MUST be sharp. Dull blades increase the chance of kick out and injury to
yourself and bystanders.
Plastic/Nylon Blades may be used where ever the nylon
line head is used. DO NOT use this blade for heavy
weeds or brush!
