    Follow these steps to print the status check: Contact EPSON for service. 1. Load a sheet of paper in the printer. (You can print test pages on roll paper, but you will use more paper.) Turn the printer off and then on again.

    You must replace the cartridge before you can continue printing. Caution: For best results, use genuine EPSON cartridges and do not refill them. Damage to your printer attributable to the use of other consumables is not covered by EPSON’s warranty. Color accuracy may vary considerably if you use non-EPSON inks.

    The Ink Pad number under the nozzle check pattern indicates the remaining percentage of the waste ink system. You will need to contact your authorized EPSON servicer when this number is low. The printer will stop and display an error message when the system needs to be replaced.

    Both procedures align the head for all modes and resolutions. For best results, use 24-inch EPSON roll paper. ❏ On the EPSON Stylus Pro 7000, the process takes about 15 minutes to print 12 patterns of 7 rows. Each row extends across the width of the page.
