Attention to Handling or Maintenance
56 Safety Consideration
Warning
Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the External AIT.
Never attempt to disassemble, repair, or alter the External AIT
on any occasion other than described in this User's Guide.
Failure to follow this instruction may cause an electric shock or a
fire as well as malfunctions of the External AIT.
Do not handle the External AIT when it is plugged into the
power outlet.
Turn off and unplug the External AIT from the power outlet
before maintenance. Performing maintenance on some internal
parts of the External AIT while it is off but still plugged into the
power outlet may result in electric shock. We also recommend to
occasionally unplug the power cord and clean it thoroughly with
a dry cloth. If dust is allowed to accumulate on the power cord or
humidity to form on it, the power cord may overheat, which may
result in fire.
Caution
Insert the cables into the connectors as far as it goes.
Heat generation resulting from a halfway inserted cables or
Interface cables (imperfect contact) may cause a fire. Heat will
also be generated if condensation is formed on dusty blades of
the halfway inserted cable, increasing the possibility of a fire.
