The handle comes standard with the partially threaded

1. Remove the screw.
2. Place the handle in the corresponding housing, as
shown in Fig. F.
3. Thread the screw back into the hole and tighten
securely with a screwdriver.
f Remove the screw holding the guard. Slide the guard
on the cover of the trimmer and align the screw hole in
the guard with the screw in the cover (Fig. D).
f Insert the screw that holds the guard to secure the
guard in place, as shown in Fig. E.
f Install the extension cord in the cord retainer as
shown in Fig. G.
Warning! Never use the line trimmer unless the safety
guard is properly fitted.

OPERATION

Warning! The line trimmer runs for a few seconds after
it has been switched off. Let the motor come to a complete
standstill before setting the tool down.
1. Keep power leads away from the cutting blades.
2. Use the equipment only during daytime or using good
artificial light.
3. Do not use the machine with damaged protection
guards, or without them.
4. Start the engine only when all hands and feet are
away from the cutting blades.
5. Always unplug the machine from the electricity supply
(e.g. Remove the plug from the outlet):
f When the machine is left unattended;
f Before cleaning or removing blockage;
f Before checking, cleaning or working on the
machine;
f After finding a foreign object.
6. Take precautions against hand and feet injuries
caused by the cutting blades.
7. Always ensure that the ventilation openings are kept
free of dirt.
Line feed
The trimmer uses a 1,65 mm (0.065") diameter ROUND
nylon line to cut grass and weeds quickly and easily. The
cutting line will wear faster and require more feeding if the
cut or edge is performed near sidewalks or other abrasive
surfaces, or if you cut thicker bushes. As you use the
trimmer, the line will be shortened due to wear. Pump the
unit gently on the floor to feed the line.
Caution! Inspect the area to be trimmed and remove
any wires, cords, or other similar objects that may get
caught in the line or the spinning reel. Take special care
to prevent cords from bending out of the path of the tool,
such as barbs at the base of a barbed wire.
1. Tilt the device slightly as shown in Fig. I.
2. Slowly rock the trimmer from side to side as shown in
Fig. J.
3. To change to the maintenance edger function, turn
off the tool. Hold the trimmer with one hand using the
auxiliary handle (as shown in Fig. K), take the ring on
the trimmer head, press in the direction of the arrow
and turn the head clockwise (looking at it from the end
of the switch) until it stops (half a turn) and release
your hand. The tool will be locked in the edger position.
4. To use it as a maintenance edger, position the trimmer
above the sidewalk as shown in Fig. L.
5. To return to the trimming position, turn off the tool,
press in the direction of the arrow and turn the trimmer
head clockwise until it stops.

REMOVING AND REPLACING

Warning! Before making this change, make sure that
line trimmer is switched OFF and unplugged.
Use only 1,65mm (0,065") diameter monofilament
nylon lines
A heavier line will overload the engine and cause
overheating. You can get this line through your local dealer
or authorized service center.
Do not use fishing lines or other lines not recommended
herein.
1. Unplug the extension cord from the trimmer.
2. To remove the pump cover, pull while pressing the two
tabs on the sides of the coil at the points shown in Fig. M.
Note: you probably need to pull the cover upward
while pressing on one release tab at a time.
3. Remove the broken cutting line, roll up the rest of the
line so it is tight and reinsert the spool on the coil as
shown below.
a.
Wind the line tight so that it is under the edges of
the flanges of the spool. If it extends beyond the
flanges, the rope will not fit in the coil.
b. Place the loose end of the cutting line through the
space in the spool flange, as shown in Fig. N.
(Any space will do, but try to leave 75 or 100 mm
[3"or 4"] for work).
c.
To insert the end through the hole in the coil, hold
the line in the space and slide the spool onto the
coil, as shown in Fig. O. Make sure the line is in
place in the coil. If the spool does not slide easily
onto the coil, press slightly and pull straight from
the cutting line protruding through the hole.
4. Once the spool fits on the coil, align the release tabs
on the cover with the slots of the coil, as shown in Fig.
P, and press the cover into place. Make sure that the
two release tabs are properly locked.
5. To replace the line on the spool, follow these steps:
a.
Locate in the empty spool one of two small holes
shown in Fig. Q.
