Brake system - Edition 04.2019
– Unscrew bolt -1- and detach vacuum hose with connection at
vacuum pump.
– Remove bolts -arrows- and take off vacuum pump.
Installing
Install in reverse sequence, paying attention to the following:
Note
Renew O-rings.
– Set drive lugs of vacuum pump so they engage in slots in
camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.
– Attach vacuum pump to flange and tighten bolts to 9 Nm.
– Secure vacuum hose to vacuum pump with bolt (5 Nm).

Removing and installing vacuum pump
- vehicles with 2.0 ltr. petrol engine
Before removing the vacuum pump, the high-pressure fuel pump
must be removed ⇒ Rep. gr. 24 .
The plenum chamber partition panel does not have to be re‐
moved.
Removing
The vacuum pump is located in the rear of the engine compart‐
ment -arrow-, as seen in the direction of travel.
WARNING
Fuel line is under pressure, do not disconnect.
