4. Spark arrester service
If the engine has been running, the muffler will be very hot. Allow
it to cool before proceeding.
The spark arrester must be serviced every 100 hours to keep it
functioning as designed.
1. Remove the one 4 mm screw from the deflector guard to
remove the deflector guard from the engine top cover.
2. Remove the one 4 mm screw from the deflector to remove the
deflector from the spark arrester.
