    1. Overview The GIA 64 series of line replaceable units (LRU) are a family of integrated avionics units (IAU) for use with a Garmin Integrated Flight Deck (GIFD). The GIA 64 provides the following functionality: • Interface capability to other GIFD system components using Ethernet (HSDB), RS-232, RS-485, RS-422, ARINC 429, and other interfaces.
