To unlock MIDLAND CT790 If you have an old ct 790 (2010 production without red stamp) it is necessary a
software and connected the unit to the PC; if you have a 'new' version of CT790
(after 2010 production with red stamp)
to unlock the CT790 it is necessary this procedure:
RX unlock:
‐ press hold key '6', switch ON the unit and insert the code '999999';
‐insert the new operative band (136‐174 MHz VHF and 400‐470 MHz UHF), insert this code: '136174
400470:'
‐the radio will reboot.
TX unlock
‐ press hold key '9', switch ON the unit and insert the code '666666';
‐insert the new operative band (136‐174 MHz VHF and 400‐470 MHz UHF), insert this code: '136174
400470:'
‐the radio will reboot.
