Using With the Base

Before installing the infant car seat:
• Check that your vehicle seat belt is compatible with
the infant car seat by referring to your vehicle owner's
manual and page 38 in this user guide.

Overhang

It is important that the base of
the child seat rests completely
flat on the vehicle seat with no
side overhang� It is permissible
to allow up to 3 in� (7�6 cm)
of the base to hang over the
edge of the vehicle seat� Some
vehicle seats do not allow
enough of the child seat base
to contact the vehicle seat�
If this is the case, choose
another seating position� Not
doing so could cause the
child seat to not perform as
intended�

Adjusting the Recline Angle
