4.4 Unprot. Bidir. cross-conn.: Concatenated group (VC4-7V) and STM-N port

Procedure
The procedure is performed on a STM-16 port. In case a STM-64 port is used, the procedure is the
same.
From EML-USM ⇒
In "Data Port Configuration" window, select the port number

In "Selected Item" field, select the signal type (VC4XV) and the number of Virtual
Concatenated VC4s (7). Then click on "Create/Change" button
In "LCAS Configuration" window, click on "LCAS Cfg". Then click on "Enable" and "Apply".
To activate TPs, click on "Ctrl Path Act". In the "Control Path Activation" window, select the
number of TPs to be active (7) and click on "Apply".
All TPs are now active and it will be possible to create cross-connections.
Now we have to cross-connect the created VC4-7V (on PIMMS) to the STM-N port of the SDH board,
by cross-connecting each AU4 of the VC4-7V to a different AU4 of the chosen STM-N port.
From EML-USM ⇒

The "Cross Connection Management" window is displayed.
Click on "Create": A "Main Cross Connection" window is displayed.
Select the type "Bidirectional" – "Not Protected"

Click on "Choose" to select the input TP of the cross-connection. In "Search for Cross
connection input" window, double click on Rack and Subrack (S320-1).
Select "PP20G" board. In "TP Search Criteria" field, select the "AU4&VC4" class and click on
"Search".

The 7 Virtual Concatenated VC4s are displayed in the "Termination Points" window.
Select the first VC4 and press "OK".

The "Main Cross Connection" window will be displayed. The selected VC4 is inserted in the
input box.
Now has to be selected the "Output" TP of the cross-connection.
Click on "Choose" to select the output TP of the cross-connection. In "Search for Cross
connection input" window, double click on Rack and Subrack (S320-1).
Select the STM-N board (4P2G5SO, i.e.). In "TP Search Criteria" field, select the "AU4&VC4"
class and click on "Search": the AU4s are displayed in the "Termination Points" window.
Select the "Output" AU4 and press "OK".

The "Main Cross Connection" window is displayed. The selected AU4 is inserted in the output
box.
