11.4 Changing the Antenna Mode

You can choose whether to use the external antenna.
Prerequisites
For details of antenna selection, consult your service provider.
Procedure
Step 1 Choose Settings > Advanced > Antenna.
Step 2 Select a value for Antenna Mode.


Delete to delete an item.
The following operation are taking a computer with Windows 7 operating system as an

example.
Please do NOT disconnect the USB device to the Smart Hub IMMEDIATELY when you just

have add, modify or delete file(s), Wait 5 seconds for the operation to take effect.
If the USB device is NTFS format, after you add, modify or delete file(s), you should

manually refresh the folder (right click on the blank of the folder and choose refresh), to see
the effect that have been taken.
If you are using a computer with Windows XP operating system, please access the USB

device by IPv4 address. The IPv6 is not well supported by Windows XP, you may failed to
access by IPv6 address.
Power on the PC.
Connect the Huawei B890 4G LTE Smart Hub to a PC.
Choose Start > Run, enter the IP address of the Huawei B890 4G LTE Smart
Hub
(default
address:\\fe80--1.ipv6-literal.net), and then press Enter.
Enter the user name and password you have configured on the Storage
Services page.
View the shared files.
Launch a web browser and enter ftp://192.168.20.1 (IPv4) or ftp://[fe80::1] (IPv6)
to log in to the management page.
Enter the user name and password, the default user name and password are ftp.
View the files on the USB device.
In the area covered with strong signal, you can select Inner and uninstall the
external antenna.
