The shoulder belt can't do its job because

The lap belt can't do ib job either. In

the belt

up over your abdomen. The
belt
forces
would be there, not at your pelvlc
bones. This could cause aerious internal
injuries.
For
proper protection when the vehicle
is O n
motion, have the seatback upright. Then sit
w e l l back in the seat and wear
your
safety belt
properly.
