WARNING! Turn off all power to the evaporative cooler before attempting to troubleshoot any of the following
operating issues. For problems not listed, please contact Uline Customer Service at 1-800-295-5510.
OPERATING ISSUE
Evaporative cooler fails to start or
deliver air.
Evaporative cooler starts, but air
delivery is inadequate.
Water draining from the evaporative
cooler.
Knocking, shaking or rattling sounds.
Musty or unpleasant odor.
Water droplets in the air stream.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSES
No electricity to the evaporative
cooler—circuit breaker tripped,
GFCI tripped and/or power
unplugged or damaged.
Motor overheated and/or frozen.
Evaporative media side of the
evaporative cooler is too close to
a wall.
Fan motor failure.
Capacitor failure.
Seat in float valve leaking.
Drain plug not tight.
Loose parts.
Fan blade rubbing shroud.
Stale or stagnant water in tank.
Evaporative media is mildewed or
clogged.
Too much water delivered to
evaporative media.
Leaking hose.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Check power reset breaker. Reset
GFCI/ELCI, plug in cord or replace
if damaged.
Reconnect motor.
Move evaporative cooler at least
three feet from the wall.
Replace fan motor.
Replace capacitor.
Replace float valve.
Tighten plug.
Check and tighten where needed.
Inspect and adjust, or replace fan
blade.
Drain, flush and clean tank.
Replace evaporative media.
Make sure evaporative media is
properly positioned in the frames
and evaporative cooler is level.
Tighten connection or replace
hose.
