    About these instructions The operation described here mainly refers to the use of the remote control handset (R/C). Buttons with same or similar marking at the main unit have the same function like those of the R/C. If the message “NOT ALLOWED AT THE MOMENT” or “NOT ALLOWED BY DISC” occurs on the screen during operation, that function requested is not supported by the media type inserted.

    Information about the regional coding This DVD/CD player is designed and manufactured to respond to the region management information that is recorded on a DVD disc. If the region number described on the DVD disc does not correspond to the Region number of this DVD/CD player, this DVD/CD player cannot play this disc.

    Establish connections Important Notes: - All cables shown or mentioned here are not supplied with your DVD player. You’ll find them at your local TV shop. - Please switch off all equipment involved before making any connections. This will protect your speakers from possible damage.
  • Page 13 The audio connection This diagram shows you the different audio connections that are possible. Here also it is sufficient to establish only one of the connections. Your choice would depend on the connections available on the existing audio devices. Caution! Never connect the coaxial output of the DVD player to the coaxial input of a device which does not have a DOLBY DIGITAL AC 3 or a DTS decoder otherwise this could damage your speakers.

    About operation On / off, stand-by, playback of DVDs Ø Connect the power cable with a properly connected 230V~ household power socket. Turn the power switch (next to the power cable outlet, at the back of the device) in the ON position.

    Repeatedly press the SLOW button to start slow motion with a speed option of 1/2, 1/4, 1/6 or 1/8 times the normal speed. Press the PLAY/PAUSE continue playing in normal mode. Whilst in slow motion, the sound is turned off.
