  • Page 9: Setting Up

    Do not try to use any power supply except the one provided, otherwise you may permanently damage your Diverse 3010 Micro. It will also result in non-compliance with EN41003:1993, and will invalidate the approval given to this apparatus.
  • Page 10 Your handset is already “registered” to the Diverse 3010 Micro base station. Plan where you will put your Diverse 3010 Micro. It should be within two metres of a power socket and the phone socket. Plug the power cable into the power socket on the underside of your Diverse 3010 Micro.
  • Page 11 The handset uses a rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery pack, which is supplied. You must only use approved batteries. To install it, insert the battery pack as indicated on the label inside the battery compartment and slide the battery compartment cover shut.
  • Page 12 Place the handset on the base. When charging, the battery level symbol shown on the display flashes. After charging your Diverse 3010 Micro for the first time, subsequent charging time for the handset batteries is approximately 4-5 hours. The battery pack and case may become warm during charging.

    Using your Diverse 3010 Micro Your Diverse 3010 Micro offers a menu driven display. You enter menu lists by pressing the button. The buttons below the screen allow you to select options within each menu and make adjustments to their settings.

    If you subscribe to Caller Display you can see who is calling you (on your handset display). If you are on a call and you also subscribe to BT’s Call Waiting service, the second incoming call number will appear on the handset display and you will hear an intermittent beep through the handset.

    Telephone Security As a digital phone system, your Diverse 3010 Micro provides excellent security against others ‘listening in’ to your calls. You can also prevent unauthorised use of the handset(s). To do this you need to know the PIN numbers.

    Maintenance Simply clean the Diverse 3010 Micro and base station with a damp cloth or an antistatic wipe. Never use a dry cloth as this may cause a static shock.
