PoE > PoE Port Settings (Only for DES-1210-08P/28P)
DES-1210-08P/28P supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) as defined by the IEEE specification. All ports of
DES-1210-08P and port 5-24 of DES-1210-28P comply with IEEE 802.3af providing up to 15.4watts of
power to Powered Devices (PD), and port 1-4 of DES-1210-28P comply with IEEE 802.3at providing up to
30watts of power to PDs. Both devices follow PSE (Power Supply Equipment) standard pinout Alternative A,
feeding PoE power through pins 1, 2, 3 and 6 of Category 5/5e or Category 3 UTP Ethernet cables.
As per the IEEE 802.3af/at standard, the PSE provides power according to the following classification:
NOTE: The switch proceeds the access rule from
the smallest access ID, so be careful in assigning
the ID for the expected results.
