Quick reads

Hide or show the Quick reads page on the Home screen. You can view the latest articles in
various categories on the Quick reads page.
On the Settings screen, tap Quick reads.
This feature may not be available depending on the region or service provider.

Lock screen

Change the settings for securing the device and the SIM or USIM card.
On the Settings screen, tap Lock screen.
The available options may vary depending on the screen lock method selected.
• S creen lock type: Change the screen lock method.
• D ual clock: Set the device to show the dual clock on the locked screen.
This feature may not be available depending on the region or service provider.
• A pp shortcuts: Set the device to show the app shortcut on the locked screen.
• L ock screen style: Change the way visual elements are displayed on the locked screen.
• A uto factory reset: Set the device to perform a factory data reset if you enter the unlock
code incorrectly several times in a row and reach the attempt limit.

Privacy and security

Options
Change the settings for maintaining your privacy and safety.
On the Settings screen, tap Privacy and security.
• L ocation services: Change settings for location information permissions.
• P rivate mode: Activate private mode to prevent others from accessing your personal
content. Refer to Private mode for more information.
