Switching On

Make sure you have a firm footing.

Check that bystanders are well clear
N
of the general work area of the
power tool.
Hold the power tool firmly with both
N
hands on the handles.
Disengage the chain brake by
N
pulling the hand guard back towards
the front handle.
Check that the saw chain chain is
N
not touching the wood or any other
object.

Press the lockout button (1) with
N
your thumb.
Squeeze the trigger switch (2) with
N
your index finger.
Start the cut with the chain running.

Switching Off

Release the trigger switch so that it
N
can return to the off position (A). It is
locked in this position by the trigger
switch lockout.
The coasting brake brings the chain to a
standstill.
WARNING
If the trigger switch is not fully released,
i.e. held in position B (midway between
ON and OFF), the coasting brake will not
be activated and the chain will continue
to run for several seconds.
During longer work breaks – disconnect
the plug from the wall outlet.
When the machine is not in use, store it
in such a way that it does not endanger
others.
Secure it against unauthorized use.
