Enabling heart rate monitoring

When using the heart rate chest strap, you need to set
the HR setting to ON from the Measure set. menu.
Operation buttons

Press C on the Time screen to display the
Measurement screen.
GPS positioning starts, and the measurement
screen is displayed once positioning is complete.
See "GPS Positioning" on page 18.

Hold down B on the Measurement screen to
display the Measure set. menu.

Press C/D to select HR, and then press A.

Use C/D to select the heart rate zone that you
want to maintain while exercising, and then
press A..
An alarm sounds if you are outside the set heart
rate zone.
Note:
O You can check or change the heart rate in

Confirm the settings and press A.

Hold down A to return to the Measurement
screen.
Note:
When HR is set to ON, the battery life for the device is
reduced. When you are not using the heart rate
monitor, make sure HR is set to OFF.
