Configuration

CAUTION
Modifying configurations are for stand-alone applications only. Never use in conjunction with CARE/LiveCARE or the
CARE database will be destroyed!
NOTES: Level 4 operator is required to be able to modify the controller configuration. If the operator level is not high enough,
the operator will only be able to view all configuration selections but not change them.
For a level 4 operator, the following sub-menu screen displays.
Configuration
Load Last Config.?
Y e s
N o
This feature is useful when configuring multiple controllers with the same options. Once a configuration has been chosen and
loaded into a controller, the operator only needs to select Yes to load the same configuration choices. Only the last device
configuration can be stored in the volatile memory of the HHT. If the operator selects No , or if no configuration is currently
stored in the HHT memory (this sub-menu will not appear for this case), the HHT uploads all configuration data from the
controller into its volatile memory while flashing the words Retrieving Data .
Once the question regarding use of the last configuration has been answered, or bypassed because no previous configuration
exists, use the Prev Menu or Top Menu to load the configuration into the controller. The display flashes the words Loading
Configuration until the operation is complete, and then returns the display to the MAIN MENU . Use the Abort key at this
level to return the operator to the MAIN MENU without loading a configuration into the controller.
Menu selection configuration items are selected through the keypad by using the Up/Down Arrow keys and then pressing the
Enter key, which stores the configuration items into volatile memory of the HHT. Data entry configuration items are keyed in
by the operator and pressing the Enter key loads them into the volatile memory of the HHT.
NOTES: Use of the Top Menu key is not allowed by the HHT in any of the configuration sub-menus (the speaker beeps).
The HHT must take the Excel 10 controller off-line before loading it with any configuration information. This is to
protect equipment and avoid any conflict with other devices that the controller might be bound to.
