Installing the battery
Slide the battery upward along with the rails until the

battery snaps into place.
Removing the battery
Pull the battery locks downwards to release the battery

from the radio.

It is suggested to remove the screws and unattached the
belt clip before installing /removing the battery.

Charging the battery with the radio
The radio is equipped with a charging base and a power
supply adaptor. To charge the battery with the radio
attached:
1. Place the charging base on a flat surface in a dry
location.
2. Insert the AC adaptor cable connector into the port on
the rear of the charging base.
3. Plug the AC adaptor into a power outlet.
4. Align the slots on the sides of the battery with the rails
in the charging base.
5. Slide the radio into the charging base.
If charging light is not on, check position of radio. Radio should be upright. The
charge indicator light on desktop charger will stay on (Red) as long as the radio
is in the charging well, and the light will go off when the charging is complete.

Quick Start
1. Turn Power On/Off / Volume Knob clockwise to turn the
radio on and counter clockwise to turn the radio off.
2. Select a desired channel. (Details please refer P.9)
Both radios must be tuned to the same
channel/privacy code to communicate.
3. Press and hold the Talk button while speaking into the
microphone.
4. When nished talking, release the Talk button and listen
for a response.
Turning your Radio On and Off
Turn ON/OFF Knob clockwise to turn the radio on and counterclockwise to turn
the radio off.
1. In the ON position, the radio chirps, and the current
ON/OFF Knob
channel number prompted after that.
Your microTALK
to receive transmissions. The radio is always in
Standby mode except when the Talk, or other buttons
are pressed or the Channel/Privacy Code Selection
Knob is turned.
2. In Standby mode, Green LED ashes every 5 seconds.
Battery Low
When battery power is low, Red LED ashes every 1 second. Voice prompt
"Please charge" will be heard approximately 1 hour before device
automatically powers off.Your batteries should be recharged. It normally takes
about 4 hours to fully charge batteries.
Auto Battery Save
If there are no transmissions within 10 seconds, the radio will automatically
switch to Battery Save mode. This will not affect the radio's ability to receive
incoming transmissions.
