Application
The 30 V / 3 A and 30 V / 2.6 A power supply with ground fault detection and
integrated data decoupling is used to drive AS-Interface systems. The unit produces
a controlled, highly stable 30 V DC voltage with low residual ripple. The output
voltage is floating and short-circuit-proof, and is resistant to no-load operation. The
unit restarts automatically after short circuits or overloads. The LED diagnosis is
saved and can be deleted via RESET. An AS-i + or AS-i – ground fault will be
detected and only the switched 'AS-i + SWITCHED' output will be switched off.
Ground-fault and overload indications can be reset via the RESET pushbutton or via
HI-level at the remote reset input (terminal 41 / 42).
The power supply units function according to the same principle as primary
switching controllers. 3RX9501-1BA00 is suitable for connection to a PELV DC
power supply unit with 24 V DC. 3RX9501-2BA00 is suitable for connection to a
1-phase AC network with 120 V or 230 V, 50/60 Hz.
When installing the units, the relevant DIN / VDE regulations or country-specific
provisions must be adhered to.
Mounting / Assembly / Connection
The unit must be installed vertically for appropriate cooling. There should be a
minimum clearance of 50 mm above and below the unit.
The supply voltage (120 / 230 V AC) must be connected acc. to VDE 0100 and
VDE 0160 (Fig. III). The network must be fused with a maximum of 20 A (USA) or
16 A (IEC).
The units are equipped with a primary-side internal fuse.
They are designed for snap-on mounting on 35-mm standard mounting rails (Fig. I).
All connecting terminals are removable.
