Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new CHAUVET Bubble Machine. We are confident you will enjoy
many trouble free hours with this unit. To assist with the care and use of the product we have prepared this
short guide.
Operation
This bubble machine has been designed to function on a mains power supply of either 120V~60Hz or
230V~50Hz and has been fitted with a suitable power plug for use with your local voltage. Check the label
on the unit and the power plug for the correct voltage.
Place the machine on a level surface. Remove the cowl when filling or emptying the B-550. Fill the tank
with quality bubble fluid only. We recommend use of CHAUVET bubble fluid (BJ-U or BJ-Q) as it has been
specially formulated for use with CHAUVET bubble machines and produces the best results. Replace the
cowl and tighten screws. Plug into the mains power supply and stand back in amazement as you fill the
area with hundreds of bubbles!
The B-550 has a 3 position switch on the rear of the unit.
1. On - Manual Mode. The fans will turn on and the wand wheels will rotate.
2. Off
3. On For use with optional controllers. The fans will remain on and the wheels will rotate when
signal is received.
After use, ensure that all bubble fluid is drained before moving.

Cleaning
Cleaning your bubble machine regularly will help reduce costly parts replacement and repair charges.
After every 40 hours of continuous operation or when the machine will be idle for a long time it is
recommended to rinse the bubble wands and fluid tank with warm water, to prevent a build-up of residue
which could reduce performance.
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Empty all bubble fluid from the tank and replace with warm water. Plug unit in and allow to run
as usual, until all wands appear to be free of residue.
3. Cleaning is now complete. Unplug and refill with bubble fluid.
All bubble machines are prone to clogging due to the consistency of bubble fluid. However a well
maintained machine should provide years of reliable use. The body of the unit may be cleaned with a soft
damp cloth. Store dry.
Maintenance & Servicing
Do not allow bubble fluid to become contaminated. Always replace cap after use.
Work on internal parts should be carried out by a qualified technician. Removal of any covers is considered
a breach of warranty and will not be covered under any such agreement unless authorized first by the
company.
Troubleshooting
If you experience low output, or no output at all, unplug immediately. Check fluid level, the external fuse,
and main power supply. If all appear to be OK, plug the unit in again. If you are unable to determine the
cause of the problem, do not simply continue to use as this may damage the unit. Contact CHAUVET for
servicing.
Caution
Do not obstruct the bubble wands. Never allow children to place fingers inside the front of the
machine. Do not leave machine unattended.
Danger of Slipping. Bubble fluid produces a slippery residue.
Always disconnect from main power supply before cleaning or servicing.
Never use any other type of liquid other than quality bubble fluid. CHAUVET provide suitable
fluids for use with this machine (BJ-U or BJ-Q).
Never drink bubble fluid. If its ingested, call a doctor immediately. If bubble fluid comes into
contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
Beware of overfilling or spillage. Consider carefully when mounting.
No user serviceable parts inside, please refer to CHAUVET for service.
