this user guide carefully before using it for the first time.
Take particular note of the safety precautions. We also
recommend that you keep the instructions for future
reference.

IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

General
• Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal
injury and damage.
• Use for its intended purpose only, i.e. for the
preparation of food. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any injury or damage resulting from
incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
• For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial
use.
• For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
• Do not place the appliance or the cord near hot areas,
for example gas rings and electric hotplates.
• Do not use the appliance in damp environments.
• Do not use if the safety locking system is not
functioning, as this will mean that the appliance could
be switched on even if the door is not closed. If the
door is open, you risk being exposed to microwave
radiation.
• Never prop the door open.
• On the right-hand side of the oven compartment there
is a mica plate (resembles cardboard); this must not
be removed.
• Do not use the appliance if the spindle, turning ring
and glass turntable are not installed.
• Do not use the appliance if there are cleaning agent
residues inside it.
• Keep an eye on children in the vicinity of the appliance
when it is being used. The appliance is not a toy.
Children must not be allowed to use the appliance
unless supervised by an adult.
• The appliance is not to be used by persons with
reduced sensitivity, physical or mental disabilities or
persons who are unable to use the appliance, unless
supervised or instructed by a person responsible for
their safety.
• When using the grill functions, the appliance can get
very hot. Do not touch the hot surfaces due to the
danger of burns.
• Never insert anything into the ventilation slots or other
openings.
• When the light bulb inside the appliance needs to be
replaced, please contact the store where you bought
the appliance. Bulb replacement must always be done
by an authorised repair technician.
Use
• Do not switch on when empty. To able to absorb
microwaves, there must be something in the appliance
(food) to avoid damage. If you would like to practice
using the various functions, place a cup of water
inside the oven.
UK
• Always follow the instructions in the "Tips for food
preparation" and "Using utensils when preparing food"
sections.
• Use a potholder when removing hot containers
from the appliance, especially if you have used the
grill function. Beware of hot steam when removing
microwave film from a container.
• When beverages are heated in a microwave oven, they
can boil over when taken out. Therefore, care must be
taken when handling the container.
• Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs shall
not be heated in a microwave oven since they may
explode.
• When using the grill functions, use ONLY containers
suitable for use in conventional ovens.
• When using the combination functions, use ONLY
heat-resistant glass or ceramic dishes, which can also
be used in a microwave oven.
• Never prepare food directly on the glass turntable, as
doing so can cause it to crack. This also applies to
preparing foods in roasting bags, paper bags or the
like. Always use a suitable container.
• The glass turntable can be used for all cooking types
- i.e. using microwave and grill. However, exercise
caution when microwaving fats because they heat up
rapidly and can cause the glass turntable to crack.
• Use the grille tray only for grilling, i.e. not for
microwave cooking or combination programs which
include microwave.
Cord and plug
• Remove the plug from the socket when cleaning, or
when not in use. Avoid pulling the cord when removing
the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is
damaged, if it is not functioning properly, or if it has
been damaged by a heavy impact or similar.
• If the appliance or plug is damaged, it must
be inspected and if necessary, repaired by an
authorised repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk
of electric shock. Never try to repair the appliance
yourself. Please contact the store where you bought
the appliance for repairs under the guarantee.
Unauthorised repairs or modifications to the appliance
will invalidate the guarantee.
• It is hazardous for anyone other than a qualified
technician to carry out any service or repair operation
which involves the removal of any cover which gives
protection against exposure to microwave energy.
• If the door or door seal are damaged, the appliance
must not be operated until it has been repaired by a
qualified technician.

Fire hazard!

To reduce the risk of fire occurring in the oven
compartment, please note the following points:
• Do not cook food for too long or at too high a
temperature and do not leave unattended if paper,
plastic or other flammable materials have been used
with a view to reducing cooking times.
