Problem
With gas operation:
The refrigerator does
not work.
In automatic mode:
The refrigerator is
being operated with
gas although it is con-
nected to the
AC mains.
The refrigerator does
not cool sufficiently.

Possible cause
The gas cylinder is empty.
The gas valve is closed.
Air is in the supply line.
The mains voltage is too low. The refrigerator changes to
The ventilation around
the cooling unit is not
sufficient.
The evaporator is iced up.
The temperature is set too
high.
The ambient temperature is
too high.
Too much food at once was
placed in the refrigerator.
Too much warm food at once
was placed in the refrigerator.
The refrigerator has not been
operating for very long.
Troubleshooting
Suggested remedy
Replace the gas cylinder.
Twist the valve open.
Switch the refrigerator off and on
again. Repeat the procedure three
or four times if necessary.
AC power supply automatically as
soon as the mains voltage is suffi-
cient again.
Check that the ventilation grille is
not obstructed.
Check whether the refrigerator
door is properly closed. Defrost
the refrigerator.
Set a lower temperature.
Remove the ventilation grille for a
while so that warm air can escape
quicker.
Remove an item.
Remove the warm food and leave
it to cool down before putting it in
again.
Check the temperature again after
four or five hours.
