Connecting to a Serial Port (Printer or Modem Port)

The serial port interface is only supported by the PowerShot S10 and PowerShot S20
models.
1.
Shut down the computer and turn the camera power off.
2.
Attach the supplied serial cable to a serial port on the computer and to
the camera's DIGITAL terminal as shown below.
• Please consult your computer's manual for the location of the serial port.
3.
Turn on the computer.
About AppleTalk
• When connected via the serial interface using AppleTalk, open the Apple menu
select [Chooser] and turn AppleTalk to [Inactive].
Precaution for Unplugging Cables

• Always press the [PUSH] button on the
connector to detach the cable from the
camera's DIGITAL terminal.
