Troubleshooting
Reading images from memory card is slow.
Memory card was formatted
in another device.
Battery
Batteries consumed quickly.
Battery is not being used to
its full capacity.
Batteries are not the right
type.
Battery capacity drops due
to low ambient
temperatures.
Battery terminals are dirty.
If using Canon AA-size NiMH batteries
As the batteries have not
been used for over a year,
their recharging capacity
has decreased.
Battery life has been
exceeded.
TV monitor output
Image is distorted or not showing on TV monitor.
Incorrect video system
setting.
Shooting in Stitch Assist
mode.
Use a memory card formatted in your
camera (p. 56).
See Battery Handling Precautions
(p. 178)
Use only unused AA-size alkaline
batteries or Canon AA-size NiMH
batteries (p. 178).
If shooting in a cold location, warm
the batteries such as by placing them
in your pocket before using them.
Wipe the terminals well with a dry
cloth before use.
Reload the batteries several times.
Their charging performance should
return to normal after fully recharging
and depleting them over several
times.
Replace both batteries with new
ones.
Set the video system to the
appropriate setting, NTSC or PAL, for
your TV (p. 47).
The output will not appear on a TV in
Stitch Assist mode. Shoot in a
different shooting mode (p. 80).
