Operation

Power/Standby
The Power switch in the lower right-
hand corner toggles between ON and
STANDBY mode. When in STANDBY,
the unit uses very little energy. The
only circuits left operating are the
clock and the remote control.
Tone
MusicWorks is equipped with four
different tone settings. These settings
affect the selected listening source
but not the signal from the
COMPUTER MIX input.
Setting Effect
FLAT No alteration
to signal.
ROCK Maximum bass
and treble boost.
JAZZ Moderate bass
and treble boost.
CLASSIC Moderate bass
boost only.
Tone settings can not be changed
from the remote control.
Adjusting Volume
Use the VOLUME UP/DOWN
buttons in the center of the unit
to set volume level. You can view
the relative level setting on the
VOLUME LEVEL LEDs near the
bottom center of the front panel.
Volume may also be adjusted
from the remote control, using the
MASTER VOLUME rocker switch.
Selecting Sources
Use the four SOURCE SELECTOR
buttons on the left of the display
to select the primary source.
Signals at the COMPUTER MIX
input are always active and
mixed with the primary listening
source. The MusicWorks' level
and equalization circuitry does
not affect the COMPUTER MIX
signal.

Clock

Setting
Note: The unit must either be in
STANDBY or switched ON and the
AUX input function selected to
change the clock time.
1. Press the MEMORY button once
to enter the clock setting mode.
The hour digits on the display
will flash. Use the CD SKIP
(>>|) or SEARCH (|<<)
buttons to adjust the hours up
or down.
2. Press the MEMORY button
again. The minute digits will
flash. Use the CD SKIP and
SEARCH buttons to set the
minutes.
3. Press the MEMORY button to
end the clock setting mode.
Note: If there is no adjustment
performed for 10 seconds, the
unit will automatically exit the
clock setting mode, retaining
whatever changes have been
made.
Viewing
The time will always be displayed
when in AUX mode or in STANDBY.
Pressing the MODE/REMAIN
button once while in Radio, CD stop
or remaining time mode will display
the current time for 5-seconds.
Pressing the MODE/REMAIN
button twice in CD elapsed time
mode will also display the current
time for 5-seconds.
