2.3 Auxiliary Devices

The DBS3800 system consists of functional modules and auxiliary devices, which can be
flexibly combined to meet the different network deployment requirements.
The auxiliary devices of the DBS3800 are as follows:
2.3.1 APM30
As an outdoor integrated power backup system, the APM30 provides the following functions:
The APM30 can be installed on a pole or ground.
2.3.2 SLPU
The SLPU protects the E1/T1 signals and Ethernet signals over the BBU3806 from lightning
surge. It implements the following functions:

A maximum of four surge protectors can be configured. The surge protector is classified
into E1/T1 surge protector and FE surge protector.
Cables are routed from the front panel and maintenance can be performed on the front
side.
The Surge Protection Box for Coaxial (SPBC) is 1 U high and can be installed in a
19-inch or 23-inch cabinet, or installed on a wall.
