Recommendation
The toner cartridge may be damaged. Put in a new
toner cartridge. See Replacing the toner cartridge in
Chapter 5.
You may clear the problem by cleaning the primary
corona wire inside the drum unit by sliding the blue
tab. Make sure to return the blue tab to the Home
position (
). See Cleaning the corona wire in
Chapter 5.
Print the cleaning page. To print these two sheets,
use the control panel Menu buttons to go to the
INFORMATION menu and then to the
MAINTENANCE menu to select CLEANING PAGE.
If the black spots still appear, print the cleaning page
again. For more information, see Chapter 3.
You may clear the problem by cleaning the primary

tab. Make sure you return the blue tab to the Home
