Section 2: Battery High Voltage System Depower
NOTICE:
In a time sensitive situation the 12 volt battery negative and positive cables may be cut to save time, if the situation warrants.
If time allows, be careful not to damage the battery monitoring sensor when removing the terminal from the battery post. Do not pry
on the terminals or component damage may occur.
7. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
a. Disconnect the battery monitoring sensor electrical connector.
b. Loosen, but do not remove the nut. Position the negative battery cable aside.
Be sure to cover the battery cable with electrical tape to prevent the cable from making contact with the battery terminal.
