High Voltage Electrical System Information
LOCATION / DESCRIPTION
Located under the vehicle. Liquid
cooled lithium ion battery.
Located under the vehicle on the
right hand side, forward of the
high voltage battery.
Runs underneath the vehicle
from the high voltage battery to
the engine compartment. All High
Voltage wiring is orange in color.
Located in the left hand front
fender.
Located under the hood on the
drivers side. Mounted next to the
Inverter System Controller (ISC).
Mounted on top of the
transmission.
Mounted next to the engine
similar to non-hybrid vehicles.
Mounted in the engine
compartment similar to non-
hybrid vehicles.
Located in front of the engine. It
has an orange high-voltage wire
attached to it.
Located in the engine on the left
hand side, below the headlamp.
Located under the vehicle
centered between the rear
wheels.
Located in the rear cargo area.
Located in the cargo
compartment, mounted within the
spare tire well.
FUNCTION
Provides High Voltage storage
for the vehicle electric motor and
for the other High Voltage
components.
To charge High Voltage battery.
Provides the physical connection
between the High Voltage
system and High Voltage
components.
Allows High Voltage battery
charging using suitable charging
stations.
Provides 12 volts to charge the
12-volt battery and run vehicle
accessories.
To provide traction to the vehicle.
This transmission includes a
hybrid drive unit with a High
Voltage electric motor and a
integral disconnect clutch.
This engine operates similar to
non-hybrid vehicles.
Provides electric A/C operation.
Replaces the belt driven A/C
compressor.
Heats the coolant to provide the
passenger compartment with
consistent heat.
To provide power to the rear
wheels.
To convert AC power to DC and
controls the rear electric drive
assembly speed.
The battery is a 12V DC source
connected in a negative ground
system and is a voltage stabilizer
for the 12V electrical system.
