    Each computer must use the TCP/IP Protocol. The Brother printer needs to have an appropriate IP address configuration. If you are using routers, the Gateway address must be configured on the computers and the Brother printer. The Brother printer can also communicate with Macintosh...

    This type of network has a central access point at the heart of the network. The access point can also act as a bridge or a gateway to a wired network. When the Brother wireless printer (your printer) is part of this network, it receives all print jobs via an access point.

However, you can easily change this IP address number to match with the IP address details of your network. If you do not correctly specify these options when you are configuring your Brother wireless device, it will not be able to connect to the wireless network. Therefore care must be taken when configuring these options.

By pushing a button on the wireless router or access point, you can complete setup and secure the wireless network.
