TRIM ANGLE ADJUSTING ROD

The position of the trim angle adjusting
rod determines the minimum trim angle
of the outboard motor in relation to the
transom.

WARNING INDICATOR(S)

If the engine develops a condition moni-
tored by the warning system, an indicator
will come on.
Refer to the "WARNING SYSTEM" sec-
tion for details.

TILT LOCK MECHANISM

(for Manual tilt model)
The tilt-lock mechanism is used to pre-
vent reverse thrust from the propeller lift-
ing the outboard motor when reversing.
To lock it, set the tilt-lock lever in the Lock
position.

To release it, place the tilt-lock lever in the

TILT SUPPORT KNOB

To keep the outboard motor in the tilted-
up position, push the tilt support knob
under the swivel bracket.
