Chapter 3 Software Installation and Configuration
PC/104-GPIB for Windows NT
The software installation begins with the screen shown in Figure 3-1.

The setup program takes you through the necessary steps to install
the NI-488.2M software. For help during the installation, click on the
Help button. You can exit the setup program at any time by clicking
on the Exit button.
When the setup program has finished copying the software onto your
system, it attempts to start the NI-488.2M driver. If the setup
program cannot start the driver, it instructs you to restart
Windows NT, which forces the driver to load.
If you modified the hardware configuration or installed more than one
PC/104-GPIB, you must reconfigure the software. Refer to the next
section, Configure the Software (Optional), for instructions on running
the GPIB Configuration utility. If you do not need to run the GPIB
Configuration utility because you are using the default hardware settings,
refer to Chapter 4, Installation Verification, for instructions on verifying
the hardware and software installation.
