Archiving .dv4 Files Larger than 2 GB

Issue

The DVR4C Digital Video Recorder Archive Player cannot playback a .dv4 format file larger than 2 GB,

causing a loss of video data. The maximum size for a DVR4C archive file is based on the limitation imposed by

the Microsoft Windows® FAT 32 file format.

Resolution

To ensure that the Archive Player plays archived video, limit the size of .dv4 archive files to 2 GB or less.

Use the following procedure to impose a limit on the size of archive files:

1. Access the DVR4C Playback Viewer and click the Archive button.
