What to Do in Case of a Paper
Jam Caution
Do not try to pull out the paper by
hand, because this can lead to damage
and malfunction. Always turn power to
the unit off, wait a moment, and then
turn the unit on again, so that the paper
will be automatically ejected. If you
still cannot remove the paper, contact
your supplier, an authorized Sony
service station, or a Sony Technical
Information Center.

Meaning
• There is a problem with the print cartridge.
c Try turning the unit off and then on again. If this
does not solve the problem, remove the print
cartridge from the unit and check whether the ribbon
is jammed inside the cartridge. If the ribbon is loose,
take up the slack (page 11).
• A paper jam has occurred.
c Try turning the unit off and then on again. The paper
should be ejected automatically.
• An internal error has occurred.
c Try turning the unit off and then on again.
