Tone squelch feature

The tone squelch opens the speaker audio only when a signal containing the specified
CTCSS tone is received. By matching the tone frequency with the partner station in ad-
vance, a quiet standby is possible.

Digital Code squelch (DCS) feature

DCS (Digital Coded Squelch) function that allows audio to be heard only when signals
containing the same DCS code are received.

New PAGER (EPCS) feature

This new feature allows calling specified stations only, by using a pager code that com-
bines two CTCSS tones. Even when the person who is called is not near the transceiver,
the information is displayed on the LCD to indicate that a call was received. When the
call is received, the bell sounds.

Digital Personal ID (DP-ID) feature

Digital Personal ID (DP-ID) feature opens the speaker audio only when a signal set to the
same DP-ID in the Digital Mode is received.
