Potentiometer Repair Potentiometer Repair Standard Models Rotate the shaft of the potentiometer (45) clockwise as far as it can go. Slide the knob (37) over the shaft and align the pointer to the maximum setting on the control label (35). While applying a light pressure to the knob (37), tighten the two set screws to 3-5 in-lb (0.3 - 0.6 N•m).

Potentiometer Repair Installation: Fig. 3 Route the wire from the new potentiometer (47) through the foam gasket (90). Connect potentiometer (47) to the control board (20). Refer to Wiring Diagrams (ProContractor), page 19 and Wiring Diagrams (ProComp), page 20. For ProComp models, wrap the foam gasket (91) around the wire bundle to protect against damage from the compressor power switch (77).
